Itinerary details3 NIGHTS LAS VEGAS Fly into Las Vegas, a glittering oasis in the sun-baked desert. This unique city certainly doesn’t do things by halves – from hotels that are the size of towns to erupting ‘volcanoes’ and waterfalls that dance to the sound of music. Stay at the glamorous Mandarin Oriental, which offers a peaceful oasis away from the Strip, including gourmet dining, a Chinese tea room and a blissful spa. There’s also no casino here – but if you fancy a flutter there are plenty of others nearby! While you’re here, experience the thrill of driving a powerful supercar - maybe a Ferrari or a Porsche - around a super-charged racetrack designed by professional drivers, with the desert dunes all around. 3 NIGHTS ZION NATIONAL PARK/IVINS After picking up your car in Las Vegas, make your way to the red rock landscapes of Zion National Park, perhaps via the spectacular formations of the Valley of Fire State Park, just outside the city. Drive around the Virgin River and see it wind its way around the red rock. As you enter Zion National Park, drive up to Lava Point for panoramic views over the russet landscapes. It is around these moon-like rocks that scenes for the legendary movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were filmed. From your base, the Red Mountain Resort, several scenic hiking trails are right on your doorstep, around red rock canyons, cliffs, lava caves and volcanic cones. Choose a private or group hike, led by expert guides. Hike through the 1,000ft canyon walls of the Narrows, along the Virgin River, and meet Utah’s majestic mustang horses. Relax and recharge back at the resort, which has health and wellness as its core ethos in a stunning, secluded setting surrounded by mountains. 3 NIGHTS UTAH (GRAND CANYON/PAGE) En route to one of our favourite hotels, Amangiri, stop off at one of America’s most popular destinations (and justifiably so), the incredible Grand Canyon. The North Rim is less crowded than other spots in the canyon, but is one of the most impressive places to view this impressive natural wonder. The beautiful Amangiri is surrounded by thousands of square miles of untouched landscapes, and is a gateway to many of the national parks in the region. Explore on foot or horseback, or by bike or boat on the Colorado River, which winds its way around the Grand Canyon and beyond. The hotel’s Experience Team is on hand to personalise your stay, and tailor it to your interests. The hikes on offer include treks along the Hoodoo trail, past sandstone monuments and wavy sand dunes, or to Horseshoe Bend, to the 1,000ft-deep gorge of the Colorado River, which winds its way around the Grand Canyon and beyond. Or enjoy a guided tour of the spectacular red rock masterpieces of Arches National Park, a one-hour flight away. This is also an ideal opportunity to learn about Native American culture and traditions. We’ve included a sunrise hot air balloon ride – one of the best ways to experience this unique desert environment, you’ll be guaranteed sweeping bird’s eye views, including of Lake Powell, the mountains, and the colourful Vermilion Cliffs. Back at Amangiri, cool off in the pool, set in the rocks. 3 NIGHTS SEDONA Enjoy more of these landscapes on four wheels as you drive from Amangiri to Sedona and your luxurious base at L’Auberge de Sedona. This exclusive retreat sits on the banks of Oak Creek, and looks out over the region’s famous red rock formations – settle in and enjoy your very own natural cinema from your private balcony. During your stay, you’ll have a private tour of the Grand Canyon, and see the distinctive red monoliths and the Colorado River from above on a thrilling helicopter ride. This is THE way to appreciate the sheer scale and majesty of the canyon, and is simply an unforgettable experience. Not only that, but afterwards, you’ll have a gourmet private dinner at Creekside Reserve, under a canopy of vines and a glittering chandelier, as the waters of Oak Creek flow by beneath. Tuck into an exquisite tasting menu, accompanied by wines from the hotel’s cellar. We also recommend unwinding in the beautiful spa - a perfect way to finish your holiday.
