Earlier this year, I had the delightful experience of staying at Rendezvous in St Lucia! This boutique adult-only resort is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and boasts two miles of white sand beach, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind together.
Rendezvous describes itself as a place for ‘Stolen Time’ and has been designed with couples in mind, with lots of great activities you can enjoy together such as Tango Dancing, Cooking, Wine Tasting, Art Classes and so much more.
Rendezvous offers many different room categories’ all designed and decorated differently to suit a wide range of tastes. I stayed in one of the Sea Side Suites, which are newly refurbished, located on the ground floor, overlooking the seaside pool and features a sitting area with Italian marble floors throughout. I really liked this room because it was decorated with light, bright colours and had a modern feel to it
If you prefer a more traditional design, then the Luxury Beach Front Rooms & Suites are designed with gorgeous dark mahogany wood in three level story buildings offering amazing sea views.
One of my favourite rooms was the Beach Cottage directly on the beachfront. It’s a cute seaside retreat and is perfect for those wanting real privacy further away from the resort facilities.
One of my favourite things about Rendezvous was the Champagne bar! Every night before dinner, the resorts’ sommelier chose a champagne for guests to taste and discuss. This is a great opportunity to meet other couples at the resort as everyone comes together for this lovely experience. After dinner the Champagne bar plays music, so you can continue your evening until the early hours should you wish – they will stay open until the last guest goes to bed!
I can’t talk about Rendezvous without mentioning the incredible dining options; the Malabar Beach Club is their ‘Toes in the sand’ restaurant right on the water’s edge, it is à la carte style with the capacity for 40 guests and is open for lunch and dinner. I experienced lunch at this restaurant and it was the perfect setting, the food was also very impressive with a great choice.
The Terrace restaurant is right at the heart of the resort and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast you have a choice from a large selection of local fruits, cooked breakfast items from the buffet or the breakfast chef will make you anything fresh from the menu including eggs, pancakes and waffles. For lunch guests can chose from a selection of cold meats, salads, breads and fish, or enjoy a hot meal from the buffet or something special from the chef. In the evening The Terrace transforms into a candlelit magical spot with a genteel music playing in the background. The hotel regularly organises themed evenings to present guests with a taste of some of the finest foods from around the world!
As you can probably tell, I really enjoyed my time at Rendezvous and would highly recommend the hotel for those looking for romance in an idyllic beach setting.
Rendezvous is certainly the place for romance and the hotel offers some incredible locations and special arrangements for weddings, honeymoons and renewal of vows.
