Guana Island - British Virgin islands

We can’t think of any other resorts in the Caribbean that enjoy the exclusive use of seven different beaches, but then Guana Island is no ordinary resort. A handful of luxurious rooms and villas accommodate a maximum of just 42 lucky guests, on a pristine private island that is home to wildlife including flamingos, tortoises and iguanas. The friendly staff will quickly learn your name and, perhaps more importantly, your favourite tipple down at the beach bar. But there’s more to do here than simply lounge on the powder white sand, with fantastic hiking trails, tennis courts, watersports and more.

Accommodation

Guana Island is ultra-exclusive with just 15 rooms and 4 villas, decorated in a rustic chic style with whitewashed walls and dark tropical woods. All of the Sea View Rooms open onto a private terrace, and there is also one with a private plunge pool. There is WiFi in the rooms but no TVs or phones – you’re here to relax and switch off! The villas have digital entertainment systems and range from one to three bedrooms, all with a private infinity pool, mini bar and a golf cart for getting around the island. The one bedroom North Beach Villa is the only oceanfront accommodation on the island, located just steps from the beach.

Restaurants And Bars

Chef Kael Mendoza and his team conjure up amazing dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including the majority of their vegetables, micro greens and tropical fruits from the hotel’s organic orchard. Guests are encouraged to dine communally at The Club, an elegant 18th-century hilltop venue, though private tables are also available. Coffee, home-baked cookies, fruit and other goodies are served every afternoon at both The Club and the Beach Bar down on White Bay Beach, and you can also enjoy dinner in the privacy of your own room or villa.
